Next-Gen Membrane Technologies Luncheon
Membrane filtration is a critical technology used for water purification, recycle and reuse and in industrial processing. Recent advancements across Micro & Ultrafiltration (MF/UF) and Nanofiltration & Reverse Osmosis (NF/RO) has extended applications into new industries and markets. Where does Membrane Filtration go from here? What is the next big development? New materials with an order-of-magnitude increase in productivity? Wave-powered desalination? Direct potable water reuse? Protein fractionation? Oily wastewater re-use? Off-the-grid wastewater treatment? The list of possible paths forward is extensive and exciting. Advanced materials, automation, Internet of Things, AI will drive the cutting-edge innovations over coming years, and end-users, strategics, intermediaries, and investors need insights into where the field is heading. There are plenty of conferences focused on membranes, but we are responding to demands for a more targeted, invite-only discussion around market trends and investment opportunities. In short, this program doesn't include technology pitches, but rather, introductions to research initiatives, discussions of trends, and an introduction to end-user needs and innovative next-gen solutions. Guests were invited to join William Blair, and newly launched VC, Evolution Technology Ventures, for an invite-only roundtable discussion focused on next-generation membrane innovation. The program included two keynote speakers, a networking lunch, end-user discussion, and an emerging technologies panel.
