About the event
What's keeping growers from adopting innovation to manage water on farm?
For the last 20 years entrepreneurs, and their venture backers, have undertaken heroic efforts to bring efficiencies to farmers (aka: growers), specifically around the management and use of water. These included soil moisture sensors, geospatial and drone imagery, drip irrigation, and AI-controlled pumps and valves, to name a few. Yet, despite the optimistic reports founders try to sell investors on, the adoption remains painfully slow.
Ag, Water, or Climate?
Innovations to address the management and use of water for irrigation are often stuck in a no-mans-land between so-called 'ag-tech', 'water-tech', and the newer fast-growing industry called 'climate risk'. which brings very compelling innovations to farmers big and small.
Well-intentioned efforts by early-stage companies claiming to have 'smart' water-related solutions for 'smart-ag', typically work; however, growers have generally not bought up these 'smart' solutions at the rate the founders, and the investors behind them, anticipated. A graveyard is starting to appear.
Moderated, but Unscripted
Join this repartee-style webinar to listen in on our featured guests and share their PoV on macro-trends, emerging opportunities, head/tailwinds, and what needs to happen for more growers to start spending money on 'smart-ag'.
If you are focused on 'water' and 'ag', this event is for you.
